The person(s) adopting the animal agree that:
1. Riverside Kennels will not knowingly adopt an animal with health or behavior concerns that have not been revealed to me, but they cannot guarantee the age or breed, nor can they guarantee the health or behavior of any animal once adopted.
2. I understand that particular diseases are more common in animals adopted from an animal shelter. This is due to close living quarters and the stressful environment, which makes them more susceptible to some diseases. Examples include Upper Respiratory Disease or Panleukopenia in cats; and Parvovirus, Kennel Cough, or Distemper in dogs. I understand that my adoption package includes an information sheet listing the symptoms of these diseases. If my animal exhibits any of these symptoms, I will seek veterinary care for my animal immediately at my own cost.
3. I agree to provide further veterinary care, including the cost for any treatment undertaken for an illness discovered at the MEDICAL EXAMINATION/SPAY NEUTER PROCEDURE further vaccinations, post-surgery care and continued medical care for the life of the animal. I understand this is my responsibility as a pet owner and I will cover costs of reasonable medical care.
4. I understand that information about this animal may have been determined by observation in the shelter environment or may have been provided by a third party and Riverside Kennels cannot warrant the accuracy or correctness of such information.
5. I hereby accept the animal as is, assume all risks and responsibilities associated with animal ownership, including bites, and release Riverside Kennels and all persons previously involved with the animal from any responsibility to the animal, my family or myself.

RETURN / REFUND POLICY |
|
1. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OF ADOPTION FEES FOR ANY ADOPTED ANIMAL, REGARDLESS OF CAUSE.
2. Any costs incurred by the animal, including medical exams, diagnostic work, medications, vaccines (excluding first set), dental, grooming, etc., are the sole responsibility of the adopter regardless of the cause.
3. Riverside Kennels informs every adopter about any known behavior issues. However, your adopted animal may have behavioral problems that have not been evident during its stay with us. If serious enough, these problems may make it unsuitable for human companionship. Problems may include biting, behavioral and destructive habits, spraying, separation anxiety, or aggression to other animals/people. If you elect to keep the animal, any treatment or training to correct the animal’s behavioral problems is the responsibility and cost of its new owner.
4. With your agreement to this adoption and signed adoption receipt, you hereby release Riverside Kennels, its employees and agents from any liability and claim that you have, whether known or unknown, now or in the future, in connection with your adoption, ownership and disposal of any animal adopted from the Riverside Kennels.
